UC Riverside names Grey as acting chancellor

Former UC Davis Provost Robert Grey has been named acting chancellor at UC Riverside, filling the post vacated by Chancellor France A. Cordova, who leaves this week to become president of Purdue University in Indiana, officials said.
Grey has served as chief academic and financial officer at Davis, chief governance official for UC Davis Medical Center and as an executive vice chancellor before leaving in 2001. Grey also worked as a consultant on Riverside’s medical school proposal, which won preliminary approval in November.
