And you thought award season was over when the Oscars wrapped. Don’t pack up those tuxes and gowns yet. There were still more awards being handed out at the 38th Annual NAACP Image Awards at the Shrine on March 3. The backstage mood was so friendly and festive that former supermodels 1. Tyra Banks, left, and Naomi Campbell, who’d feuded for 14 years over who ruled the high-fashion catwalks, posed all cozy for photogs. 2. America Ferrera, left, and Vanessa Williams celebrated their “Ugly Betty” show wins, while 3. Djimon Hounsou, left, congratulated activist-musician Bono, who won the Chairman’s Award. “Grey’s Anatomy” star Isaiah Washington looked thrilled with his outstanding actor in a drama award. So did CNN’s Soledad O’Brien, who won the President’s Award for journalism. But 4. “Letters to a Young Brother” author Hill Harper really had his hands full, juggling his two literary awards.

Now look who’s rolled into town

Everyone went hog wild at the Hollywood premiere of the biker comedy “Wild Hogs” at the El Capitan on Feb. 27. Some of the movie’s stars made noise arriving on Harleys, wearing black leather biker gear. But the Highland Annex after-party -- serving lots of road house chili, and with peanuts on all the tables and bare lightbulbs for true biker bar ambience -- was strictly PG. 5. Jenna Elfman smiles as husband Bodhi Elfman kisses their yet-to-be-born baby. 6. Ray Liotta, who plays the film’s bad biker dude, brought his daughter, Karsen, along for the ride. 7. Erik Estrada arrived with his family in tow. And 8. the film’s stars, John Travolta, left, and Tim Allen -- with William H. Macy and Martin Lawrence, who must have left their leathers at home -- posed on hogs parked outside the party. Ride safely, guys!

Improvisations for Mr. Altman

A March 4 Directors Guild Memorial Tribute to Robert Altman was intimate, funny and appropriately unpredictable as friends, family and co-workers recalled the late director. 9. Sally Kellerman, here with Bill Henderson, sang “I’ve Got a Crush on You” and turned to look at a large projected photo of Altman that had changed to a shot of her as Hot Lips in “MASH,” her skirt hiked up, getting out of a jeep. “Where did Bob go?” she shrieked as the audience burst into giggles. Bob -- who adored improvisation -- would have been delighted. 10. Robin Williams recounted tales of shooting “Popeye” on Malta. Martin Scorsese spoke of his cameo on an Altman unscripted set. “When I got home I told my wife, ‘I think I may still be miked.’ ” Paul Thomas Anderson revealed, “When I asked him for advice, he would always say, ‘My advice is to never take advice.’ ”
