Walker keeps Heat streaking

Antoine Walker scored all 13 of his points in the last 11 minutes, and the streaking Heat erased a 17-point second-half deficit to beat the Utah Jazz, 88-86, on Tuesday night at Miami.

Miami trailed by 14 points entering the fourth quarter before outscoring Utah, 28-12, in the period to win their seventh straight game overall and 13th in a row at home. They moved within half a game of idle Washington for the Southeast Division lead.

Walker was 0 for 6 from the field entering the fourth, then made six of 11 shots in the final quarter -- doubling the total field-goal output in the last 12 minutes by the Jazz, who were three for 14 in the decisive period.

“We choked, plain and simple,” said Jazz guard Deron Williams, who had 15 points. “We played good, aggressive basketball, but then we break down and don’t do a good job in the fourth quarter. They outplayed us and outhustled us.”

Utah, which had its six-game winning streak ended, was 14-0 in road games that it led entering the fourth.

Jason Williams led Miami with 15 points.

Minnesota 86, Indiana 81 -- The visiting Pacers lost their 10th in a row, getting outscored, 16-0, in a fourth-quarter stretch after leading by 14 in the third at Minneapolis.

Kevin Garnett, playing point guard throughout the fourth quarter, scored 30 points for Minnesota. Jamaal Tinsley had a career-high 37 points, six assists and six rebounds for Indiana.

Cleveland 124, Sacramento 100 -- Playing without LeBron James (back) at home, the Cavaliers won their season-high sixth straight game while tying a season high for points.

Sasha Pavlovic scored a career-high 25 points for Cleveland, which shot 54% from the field. Ron Artest scored 19 for the Kings, losers of three in a row.

Chicago 95, Boston 87 -- Ben Wallace made nine of a career-high 21 shots and finished with 19 points, 16 rebounds and three blocked shots at Chicago.

Rookie Tyrus Thomas had a career-high 23 points. Paul Pierce had 24 points for Boston.

Denver 107, Portland 99 -- The Nuggets led by as many as 18 points in beating the Trail Blazers at home for the 14th time in 15 games.

Allen Iverson had 31 points and 10 assists, and Carmelo Anthony had 29 points for Denver. LaMarcus Aldridge had 24 points and a career-high 17 rebounds for Portland.

Detroit 101, Seattle 97 -- The Pistons improved to 3-0 on a five-game trip despite nearly blowing a 12-point fourth-quarter lead.

Chris Webber had 24 points for the Pistons, whose lead was reduced to one with 1:56 left. Ray Allen scored 27 for Seattle.

Atlanta 104, Philadelphia 92 -- The Hawks led by 29 points at Atlanta in their fourth straight victory in ending the 76ers’ seven-game winning streak.

Josh Smith had 26 points and a career-high 17 rebounds for Atlanta. Andre Iguodala led the 76ers with 18 points.

New Jersey 112, New Orleans 108 -- Vince Carter made the go-ahead free throws with 21 seconds left at Oklahoma City to help move the Nets from ninth place to seventh place in the Eastern Conference.

Richard Jefferson had 26 points for New Jersey. Chris Paul had 25 points for New Orleans.
