Abducted girl, 4, father being sought, police say
Authorities requested the public’s help Wednesday in their search for a father who allegedly abducted his 4-year-old daughter and has threatened suicide.
Jose Guadalupe Banuelos Heredia, 28, fled with Josahina Banuelos from her Santa Ana home Sunday after fighting -- at times violently -- with his estranged wife over custody of the girl, authorities said.
The father, who has visitation rights, has since contacted family members to tell them that the girl is safe but he is considering suicide. Anyone with information is asked to call (714) 245-8665 or 911.
