City to lend money to children’s museum
From Times Staff Reports
The City Council approved a deal Friday to help keep construction going on the financially troubled Children’s Museum at the Hansen Dam Recreation Area near Lakeview Terrace.
The city will match any donations that the museum raises with a loan, not to exceed $1.75 million, from the city’s reserve fund. The loan is expected to be paid back within a year.
