Spreading the ‘Wicked’-ness

The “green” that is enveloping the globe these days isn’t just environmental concern; it’s “Wicked,” spreading its elixir.
The musical prequel to “The Wizard of Oz” already has productions running at the Pantages in Hollywood and in New York, Chicago and London, plus a U.S. touring company. Another is scheduled to open in Tokyo in June, then another in Stuttgart, Germany, in November.
And on Wednesday the producers said that “Wicked” will open in Melbourne, Australia, in July 2008.
