Undercover officers kill narcotics suspect

Undercover officers shot and killed a narcotics suspect Saturday after he allegedly pointed a gun at them, authorities said.
Plainclothes narcotics officers approached the man at 8:35 a.m. as he stood next to a van near 37th Street and Broadway.
When the man allegedly drew a gun and pointed it at them, the officers shot him, said Officer Marjan Mobasser, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Police Department.
The victim, who was not identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, Mobasser said.
