3 arrested in abduction, shooting
Three suspects have been arrested in connection with a kidnapping and attempted murder in the gang-related abduction and shooting of a 20-year-old woman, Pomona police said.
The victim told police that she was forced into a car at gunpoint Saturday night in the area of Laurel Avenue and Weber Street in Pomona, driven to Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas and ordered to get out. After being shot once in the hand, she played dead until her abductors fled, then flagged down a passing motorist, said Sgt. Chuck Becker of the Pomona Police Department.
Two suspects, Romulo Monge, 21, of Pomona and Ruben Castro, 23, of Ontario were arrested after police stopped their car. Officers later arrested a 16-year-old suspect in Pomona.
