Kings’ Moulson sent to minors

Matt Moulson’s first trip to the NHL was a brief one, as the Kings sent the 24-year-old forward back to their minor league affiliate in Manchester (N.H.) on Sunday.

In two games with the Kings, both against the San Jose Sharks, Moulson had one goal, which came in his NHL debut Friday. He was called up from Manchester on Thursday.

The move was made for two reasons: to create salary cap space down the road and because the Kings don’t play again until Saturday.
