O.J. and the ditch

Re “USC’s O.J. mess,” Opinion, Nov. 7

This is not USC’s mess, it is O.J. Simpson’s mess. When I started reading the article, I thought Scott Olin Schmidt had to be a UCLA Bruin. To suggest USC is implying that only what players do on the field matters is absurd. I would think any current player walking by Simpson’s jersey at Heritage Hall would see it as a reminder that all of us are only one step from the ditch.
