This is the busiest of seasons for filmgoers, with numerous films competing for time and attention. Which means that “War/Dance,” one of the most spirit-raising documentaries of recent years, may have trouble finding an audience. Which would be unfortunate for everyone, especially those who care about unforgettable motion pictures. Directed by Sean Fine and Andrea Nix Fine and set in Uganda, it follows the fortunes of a group of schoolchildren from the war-torn north of the country who overcome deep personal tragedies and get a chance to take part in the prestigious National Music Competition. Those who miss seeing this singular film in a theatrical setting will regret their loss.
