Idaho State (0-2) at Long Beach State (0-2), 4 p.m. -- The inexperienced 49ers have had a difficult time generating offense, averaging only 45 points a game. Donovan Morris leads the team in scoring with eight points a game. Idaho State hasn’t fared much better, averaging 56 points and shooting 38.2%.

UC Riverside (0-3) at No. 14 Gonzaga (2-0), 5 p.m. -- It is the fourth consecutive road game in 10 days for the Highlanders, who have been paced by Larry Cunningham’s 18.3 points a game. Gonzaga is giving up only 48.5 points a game and held Idaho to 13 in the second half of an 80-43 victory.

Cal State Fullerton (2-0) at Southern Utah (1-1), 6 p.m. -- This is the first of four consecutive road games for the Titans. Junior guard Josh Akognon has made 13 of 26 three-point attempts and is averaging 26.5 points. Former Brigham Young coach Roger Reid is in his first season with Southern Utah.

Cal State Northridge (1-0) at Pepperdine (0-3), 7 p.m. -- The Waves are relying on freshmen, who have scored 70% of their points so far. Daniel Johnson, Malcom Thomas and Tyrone Shelley are averaging in double figures. Jonathan Heard and Calvin Chitwood combined for 51 points and 26 rebounds for the Matadors in their season opener.

Utah State (2-2) at UC Irvine (1-1), 7 p.m. -- The Anteaters return to the newly renovated Bren Center and will have center Darren Fells back from a two-game suspension for personal misconduct. Utah State, picked to win the WAC, is coming off a loss to 2007 Big West runner-up Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
