REBEL ALLIANCE

Share

It’s a marriage made in anti-fashion heaven. Chrome Hearts, the rebel-rousing L.A. jewelry, leather goods and clothing brand, is teaming up with avant-garde Japanese favorite Comme des Garcons on a limited-edition collection arriving in stores in time for the holidays.

Among the 40 pieces, there are all-over logo print T-shirts, button-down shirts, blazers and messenger bags. But the jewelry ($550 to $3,200) is really something special. The combination of Chrome Hearts’ chunky, rocker-style silver crosses and fleur-de-lis pendants, with CDG designer Rei Kawakubo’s refined, oversized pearls, makes for some gorgeous pieces.

The relationship between the two brands goes back some time. Kawakubo was the first person in Japan to purchase Chrome Hearts for her stores in 1992.

The collection will be in Chrome Hearts stores in December, including the Robertson Boulevard and Malibu Country Mart locations.
