Mike Smith, starting over Marty Turco for the fourth time in five games, made 39 saves for the Stars -- 5-0-1 since general manager Doug Armstrong and team president Jim Lites were fired.

at Vancouver 2, Chicago 0: Brendan Morrison scored an early power-play goal and Roberto Luongo did the rest, making 27 saves to lead the Canucks. Daniel Sedin added an empty-net goal with 31.7 seconds left for Vancouver, which improved to 7-1-2 in the last 10 games. Chicago failed to record at least a point for the first time in five games

at St. Louis 3, Calgary 0: Manny Legace stopped 24 shots and Jamal Mayers scored twice in the Blues’ sixth win in seven games. Brad Boyes had his team-leading 13th goal on a power play with 25 seconds left in the second period. Mayers scored 27 seconds after the opening faceoff and added an empty-netter at 17:24 of the third.

at Ducks 3, Kings 2: Ryan Getzlaf and Chris Kunitz scored third-period goals to help Anaheim rally to victory. Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 23 saves.
