Victim of tree accident identified

A tree trimmer was killed Monday while working on a 30- to 40-foot palm tree, authorities said Tuesday.
The accident occurred at 8:20 a.m. in the 13700 block of Lucas Lane, said Inspector Frank Garrido, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The man was identified as Jose Angel Barajas, 31, of Anaheim, according to Capt. Ed Winter of the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, Garrido said.
