Child porn probe leads to 3 arrests
Three men, including two teachers, were arrested on suspicion of possessing child pornography this week, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials.
The suspects include David Hassler, 62, a teacher at Pasadena’s Mayfield Senior School. Hassler has taught government, Asian studies and history of world religions at the girls’ high school since 2000, according to a school press release. He has been placed on administrative leave.
Kenneth Kothe, 61, a teacher at Lincoln Elementary School in Lynwood, was also arrested. Administrators at Lynwood School District could not be reached for comment Thursday.
A third person, Droobie Pooh, 39, of West Hollywood, was arrested after a search of his computer. Two children were also removed from his home, officials said.
The arrests were part of an ongoing Internet child pornography investigation.
