$30 million is pledged for new USC campus center
Construction industry executive and USC Trustee Ronald Tutor has pledged $30 million as the lead gift for USC’s new campus center, university officials said Monday.
The Ronald Tutor Campus Center will be at the heart of the campus and include new centers for admissions and alumni as well as work and meeting space for some 600 student organizations that are active at the university.
The current Commons and Topping Student Center buildings will be demolished to make way for the new four-story structure.
Tutor, an alumnus and long-time benefactor of USC, is president and chief executive of Tutor-Saliba Corp., one of the nation’s largest general contractors.
