Council requests ruling on mayor

The mystery of Atlantic City’s missing mayor appeared to be close to a conclusion, with a request from City Council members before a judge to declare his office vacant.
An attorney for Mayor Bob Levy explained that the town leader’s two-week disappearance involved time at a Somerset County clinic known for treatment of substance abuse and mental-health issues. He is now at his home, the attorney said.
