BRUCE Springsteen’s first album with the E Street Band since 2002’s “The Rising” produces familiar results. His “Magic” bows at No. 1, having sold 335,000 copies in the U.S. during its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It’s the eighth time the veteran rocker has topped the U.S. pop chart.

“The Rising” also opened at No. 1 but had a stronger sales week, moving 525,000 copies when it was released. Springsteen will be in L.A. for two shows at the Sports Arena Oct. 29 and 30.

Springsteen’s hotly anticipated album is one of five Top 10 debuts on this week’s chart. It pushes last week’s chart topper, Rascal Flatts’ “Still Feels Good,” to No. 2, an album that sold 168,000 copies in its second week.

Singer J. Holiday enters at No. 5 with “Back of My Lac” at 105,000 copies. Annie Lennox’s first album in four years, “Songs of Mass Destruction,” arrives at No. 9 with first-week sales of 78,000 copies.
