The Dodgers drove out Mike Scioscia, turned their backs on Dusty Baker. Now they are going to ignore Kirk Gibson. . . and have Little to show for it.

Now that Joe Torre is a free agent, it’s time for Dodgers management to finally get around to hiring a replacement for Jim Tracy instead of leaving the job vacant for the last two seasons.

The Rockies win 21* of 22 games to make it to the first World Series in franchise history! (*Seven of these 21 victories came against the Dodgers.)

At first I was unhappy that the Rockies beat the Dodgers like a drum in September, but now I see that it was all part of a larger plan.

The Rockies have simply forgotten how to lose. Needing every victory to tie and then take the wild card from the Padres, sweeping the Phillies and the Diamondbacks, the Rockies win as if they can’t even help it.

I think the Rockies will sweep the World Series. If they keep playing, they will win the Super Bowl, the Stanley Cup, an Oscar and a Nobel Prize.

2008 is a presidential election year. Hmmm . . .
