No civilian flights over search area

Citing the risks of volunteer pilots running into rescue teams searching for missing U.S. adventurer Steve Fossett, aviation officials issued a ban on civilian flights near the search area.
Maj. Ed Locke of the Nevada Air National Guard said the Federal Aviation Administration had temporarily barred civilian aircraft from flying under 2,000 feet in an area southeast of Reno.
