Update -- Chivas can clinch a playoff spot with a win. So far, only D.C. United has clinched a playoff berth. Chivas could be riding an emotional high after a 3-0 win over the Galaxy that vaulted the team into first place in the Western Conference. Chivas will welcome back defender Alex Zotinca, who has finished serving a three-game suspension. Zotinca could start at right back, allowing Lawson Vaughn to start at midfield and give Jesse Marsch, who has an injured foot, a day off. The Rapids hope to rebound from last week’s 3-1 loss to the Galaxy and get back in the playoff picture. They’ll be without Herculez Gomez, who earlier this week sustained a season-ending knee injury in practice.
