* at Baltimore 4, Toronto 3: Kevin Millar homered and drove in three runs for the Orioles, who won their sixth straight home game.

* New York 8, at Tampa Bay 7: Robinson Cano’s pinch-hit homer broke an eighth-inning tie. Shortstop Derek Jeter was back in the Yankees lineup, but starting pitcher Ian Kennedy had to leave the game in the seventh inning after he was hit on the right hip by a line drive.

* at Detroit 11, Minnesota 9: Ivan Rodriguez hit a tying two-run triple in a six-run eighth inning, then scored the go-ahead run on a sacrifice fly to lift the Tigers to their first win at home this season.

* Oakland 2, at Chicago 1: Greg Smith outpitched Mark Buehrle for his first major league win, and Kurt Suzuki went four for four for the A’s.

* Boston 6, at Cleveland 4: Manny Ramirez hit a two-run homer -- No. 493 of his career -- and Boston rallied for three runs in the ninth against closer Joe Borowski.

* Kansas City 5, at Seattle 1: Zack Greinke pitched a five-hitter for his third career complete game, and Billy Butler and Miguel Olivo each hit their first homer of the season for the Royals. Greinke (3-0) joined teammate Brian Bannister with his third win, though his earned-run average climbed from 0.60 to 0.75.

* Angels 7, at Texas 4: Ervin Santana pitched seven strong innings and Mike Napoli homered for the Angels.
