Ashlee’s ears must really be burning right now

You could talk about: Ashlee Simpson. It feels awfully cynical to wonder if her recent engagement to Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz and the subsequent pregnancy rumors were timed to help promote her new album, “Bittersweet World,” just like it feels awfully cynical to think this girl would have no career if it weren’t for her older sister, the nose job and the reality show on MTV. Or to think the only reason this album might be listenable is because Timbaland worked on it. (Tuesday)

You will talk about: “Lost.” Our feelings on this show have been all over the map -- we’ve loved it, we’ve hated it, we’ve regarded it with deep distrust (does anyone know where this is going?) and newfound respect (way to take the flashbacks to the future, writers!). We still can’t decide if we should watch it, but either way, it comes back on Thursday. Loyalists, rejoice.

At last we can talk about: “Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay.” As our colleague Chris Lee pointed out a few weeks ago, it’s going to be a summer of stoner movies and we cannot wait! “Pineapple Express” starring Seth Rogen and directed by David Gordon Green is still No. 1 on our list, but this sequel to our beloved “Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle” is a close second (although personally we could do without another Neil Patrick Harris cameo). We will talk about: “Baby Mama.” Not only are we big fans of comedy in general, comedy by women in particular, and comedy by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler especially, but we are also about to become mamas ourselves! (Like, in a week). So yes, to answer your question, we are very excited about this movie, which we hear is just as good as we want it to be. (Friday)

Or you could talk about: Another baby mama. Everything is coming up mamas this week! (Thanks entertainment world, for sending us happily on our way.) In the new episode of “Ugly Betty” (the last of our favorite shows to return to the air), Betty’s boyfriend Henry’s baby mama drops in on Betty’s 24th birthday. Hey Charlie! (Thursday)
