From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Adam Scott shot a second-round 67 Friday to take the lead at the EDS Byron Nelson Championship with a five-under-par 135 at Irving, Texas.

That was good for a one-stroke lead over Mark Hensby (67), Mathew Goggin (69) and Scott McCarron (66).

Scott began his round with four birdies in a row.

Although he managed only one more to go with two bogeys, that was enough to give him the lead.
