Philadelphia 8, at Pittsburgh 4: The Phillies scored five runs in the first inning, sending 10 batters to the plate against starter Matt Morris, who needed 49 pitches to get out of the inning. Morris retired the first two batters he faced, but the next seven reached base safely.

at New York 4, Atlanta 3: Carlos Beltran hit a two-run double during a four-run third inning. The Braves are 0-8 in one-run games and are the only team in the majors without a win in that situation.

at Milwaukee 4, Florida 3: Prince Fielder hit a go-ahead solo home run in the eighth inning and the Brewers prevented Mark Hendrickson from picking up his fifth win. He had given up only seven earned runs while winning a career-best four straight starts.

at St. Louis 4, Houston 3: Skip Schumaker singled to left to drive in pinch-runner Cesar Izturis with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning.

Chicago 7, at Washington 0: Carlos Zambrano pitched five-hit ball over seven innings. He had to work out of a jam in the seventh, striking out Ryan Zimmerman with runners on second and third.

Cincinnati 10, at San Francisco 9: The Reds gave Manager Dusty Baker a victory back in the Bay Area, where he managed the Giants from 1993 through their 2002 World Series season. General Manager Walt Jocketty won his first game since taking over Wednesday for the fired Wayne Krivsky.

at San Diego 8, Arizona 7 (13 innings): Tadahito Iguchi homered with one out in the 13th.

at Dodgers 11, Colorado 3: Matt Kemp hit a grand slam to cap a 10-run first inning.
