Let’s not have this Conversation

PLEASE, enough. With all the painful cuts at The Times, why do you continue to publish Choire Sicha’s brutal space waster the Sunday Conversation? He’s obviously going for an “I’m just one-of the-guys” chumminess but the interviews simply come off as brain-dead gossip. A Q&A; is supposed to reveal something about the artist (or whatever you want to call folks like Tiffany Pollard).

Instead, unlike great pop culture interviewers like Deborah Solomon, who can be cutting or friendly to reveal nuances and ideas from her subjects, all Sicha extracts is nothing but the banality of ego.
