Hillary Rodham Clinton chose TV producers and longtime pals Harry Thomason and Linda Bloodworth-Thomason to produce her introductory video that will fill the screens before she speaks at the Democratic National Convention.

Barack Obama’s vanquished primary rival addresses convention delegates -- and a national TV audience -- on Aug. 26, the second night of the four-day event in Denver.

The Thomasons have been Clinton friends for decades. They helped create Bill Clinton’s campaign image with a film biography, “The Man From Hope,” in 1992.

They have produced TV sitcoms, including “Designing Women” and “Evening Shade.”

Sen. Clinton conceded the presidential nomination to Obama in June. Nonetheless, she will be formally nominated at the convention. She’s unlikely to win; Obama has 136 more delegates than he needs.
