Man gets jail in BB gun shooting
A San Bruno man faces four months in jail for using a BB gun to shoot three boys playing with water balloons.
John Reindel, 37, was sentenced Wednesday after pleading no contest in May to assault with a deadly weapon.
The incident occurred last September when three 13-year-old boys were having a water balloon fight in a neighboring yard. Reindel pulled out a BB gun and opened fire, hitting all three boys numerous times.
Another neighbor called the police. The boys escaped major injury. Reindel told authorities he was trying to shoot the water balloons but had bad aim.
