Chivas USA is shut out

HOUSTON -- Kei Kamara scored two goals for the Houston Dynamo, which beat Chivas USA, 4-0, Wednesday night and extended its winning streak to four games and its undefeated string to seven.

The Dynamo (8-4-8) leads Major League Soccer’s Western Conference by five points over Real Salt Lake.

Chivas USA (6-9-5) lost for the third time in four games and had its winless streak extended to five games.

Tony Caig made two saves for the Dynamo’s eighth shutout this season and its fifth consecutive shutout of Chivas USA in MLS play.

The Dynamo jumped to a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute on a goal by Stuart Holden and increased its advantage to 2-0 in the 22nd minute when Kamara scored the first of his two goals.

Nate Jaqua scored in the 28th minute on a rebound off a corner kick and Kamara finished the scoring with a header in the 35th minute.
