PRETTY LIGHTS, FUNNY FOLKS

Share

There’s just something about spinning, colored lights in a dark room, isn’t there? Lazer Vaudeville proves the point when it brings its bright, swirling lights to Caltech’s Beckman Auditorium in Pasadena. The performance also features precision juggling, slapstick comedy and skilled acrobatics -- all grooved-up with high-tech lasers, black lights and sophisticated sound programs. Expect a fluorescent, fire-breathing dragon; trippy laser graphics and a neon cowboy swinging a luminescent lasso. “Imagine Picasso drawing Monument Valley with black light,” suggests Lazer Vaudeville founder and performer Carter Brown. 2 p.m. Sat. 332 S. Michigan Ave. $12 adults, $7 children. (626) 395-4652; www.lazervaudeville.com
