We recently asked you, our readers, about your favorite vacation destinations in the West. We hoped you would send us some hidden gems -- and you did. We’ve whittled down more than 100 submissions to 12, and now we’re evaluating which of those dozen will make our final list. Catharine Hamm is the former Travel editor for the Los Angeles Times and became a special contributor in June 2020.
