Lawsuit against Burton is settled
A sexual harassment lawsuit against former state Senate leader John Burton has been settled, an attorney in the case said Tuesday.
Kathleen Driscoll, who headed a foundation Burton had created for homeless children, filed suit in January, alleging that Burton had made unwanted advances toward her, using suggestive language and commenting on her body.
“The matter has been resolved,” said Kelly H. Armstrong, an attorney for Driscoll.
Burton served in the Assembly, the U.S. House of Representatives and the state Senate, where he was president pro tem.
His attorney did not return calls for comment.
