* Pittsburgh 9, at Houston 3: Freddy Sanchez hit a three-run, inside-the-park homer to cap a seven-run ninth inning and the Pirates ended a five-game losing streak.
* Milwaukee 6, at St. Louis 3 (10 innings): Bill Hall homered leading off the 10th inning for the Brewers, who are 4-0 on their seven-game trip and a National League best 35-19 since May 20. The win moved the Brewers percentage points ahead of St. Louis for second place in the NL Central behind Chicago.
* San Diego 6, at Cincinnati 4: Kevin Kouzmanoff’s two-run double completed San Diego’s ninth-inning comeback against closer Francisco Cordero and the Padres ended their losing streak at six games. The Padres had been 0-53 when trailing after eight innings.
* Atlanta 4, at Florida 0: Rookie Jorge Campillo pitched seven shutout innings and two relievers completed the two-hitter.
* at Arizona 2, Chicago 0: Randy Johnson (7-7) won his third straight after six consecutive losses, giving up two hits in seven innings and striking out four.
* Dodgers 16, at Colorado 10: Matt Kemp had two doubles as part of an eight-run opening inning.
