“The Dark Knight” topped $300 million in its 10th day of release, while the Will Ferrell comedy “Step Brothers” opened strongly and the musical “Mamma Mia!” held up well in its second weekend. “The X-Files: I Want to Believe” opened at the low end of expectations.
