Oh, please: Don’t make me LAFF

HA-HA-HA. I can’t stop laughing. The opening and closing films of the Los Angeles Film Festival [“Screening Now; Mass Appeal,” June 15] make LAFF my “haven’t got time for the pain” festival this year. “Wanted”? and “Hellboy II”? Really??? LOL!!!!!!!!

Note to LAFF director Richard Raddon: Featuring “several thousand rats” and bigger muscles and badder weapons as your opening and closing impressions does not indicate you are “open to thinking outside the box.” It indicates you are quite clearly and completely stuck inside the box -- the cash box.

Excuse me while I make plans to go out of town.
