Avengers eliminated after loss

TAMPA, Fla. -- Brett Dietz completed 27 of 39 passes for 327 yards and six touchdowns in the Tampa Bay Storm’s 72-47 victory over the Avengers on Saturday night.
Lawrence Samuels caught 11 passes for 99 yards and two touchdowns for the Storm (8-8).
Sonny Cumbie completed 18 of 31 passes for 273 yards and five touchdowns but also had two passes intercepted for the Avengers (5-11).
The defeat eliminated the Avengers from playoff contention.
