U.S. initial jobless claims decline

The number of Americans filing first-time claims for unemployment benefits declined last week by 24,000 to 351,000, the Labor Department said.
The four-week moving average of initial claims, a less volatile measure than the weekly figure, fell to 359,500 from 361,000, the report showed.
The number of people continuing to collect unemployment benefits rose to 2.831 million in the week that ended Feb. 23 from 2.802 million the prior week.
