Colorado 5, at Atlanta 2: Andrew Brunette scored two goals and Joe Sakic and rookie David Jones each had a goal and two assists as the Avalanche moved into a tie for first place in the Northwest Division.
at Ottawa 4, Boston 1: Dany Heatley scored three goals and set up another. After scoring only three goals in 13 games, Heatley has four goals in his last two games, both victories for the Senators. Goalie Martin Gerber made 28 saves.
at Detroit 3, Chicago 1: Pavel Datsyuk scored a go-ahead goal late in the second period and the NHL-leading Red Wings won their fourth in a row.
at Montreal 4, New Jersey 0: Carey Price made 38 saves for his second shutout, Bryan Smolinski and Saku Koivu scored first-period goals and the Canadiens moved ahead of the Devils into first place in the Eastern Conference.
at Toronto 4, Philadelphia 3: Pavel Kubina scored 4:04 into overtime to complete the Maple Leafs’ comeback from a three-goal deficit. Mats Sundin, Kubina and Jeremy Williams scored third-period goals for Toronto.
at Tampa Bay 8, N.Y. Islanders 4: Vincent Lecavalier scored three goals, Michel Ouellet added two and the Lightning, last in the Eastern Conference, won for only the second time in 12 games.
San Jose 2, at Nashville 1: Joe Pavelski and Milan Michalek each scored goals, Evgeni Nabokov made 26 saves and the Sharks won their franchise-record 10th game in a row.
at Edmonton 4, St. Louis 3 (OT): Andrew Cogliano scored in overtime for an NHL-record third consecutive game. Cogliano took a pass from Sam Gagner with only 4.9 seconds left to give his team the win.
at Phoenix 3, Ducks 2 (SO): Radim Vrbata scored the only goal of the shootout, giving the Coyotes the comeback victory over the Ducks.
