It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a parody; B-52s land

You will talk about: Superhero movies. We don’t like silly spoof movies as a rule, but “Superhero Movie” at least got the timing right. With a summer full of powerful comic book fare flying at us fast and furiously -- a new Hulk, a new Batman, “Iron Man” and “Hellboy II” -- we’ve been wondering if the superhero flick has any legs left to fly with. (Friday)

We will talk about: The B-52s. This week they release “Funplex,” their first new album in 16 years. Music snobs hate this band, but we love them. All it takes is a little “Love Shack” action at a wedding to get us on the dance floor, and if we catch “Roam” on the radio, you can bet the volume is going way, way up. We just listened to the title track from the new album on MySpace and are now itching to get onto the open road -- sun shining, windows down, having our own dance party behind the wheel. (Tuesday)

We are so happy to finally talk about: “Run, Fat Boy, Run.” We’ve been getting invites to screen this movie directed by David Schwimmer (our least favorite “Friend”) for what feels like at least six months now. We assumed the film about a schlubby man (Simon Pegg) who leaves his pregnant girlfriend (Thandie Newton) at the altar, then tries to win her back years later by running a marathon, was terrible, but it seems to have done well in the U.K., so maybe not. You might talk about: Obama on “The View.” Barack Obama sits down with the ladies of “The View” for a little heart-to-heart about religion, race, his wife and the whole presidential thing. This is the second time Obama will be on (he talked to them when his book came out in 2004), and he is “very excited” for this return visit. Coffee klatch! (Thursday)

You could talk about: Easter. Bunnies! Chocolate! Pastels! (Sunday)
