The number of people arrested in the drug investigation at San Diego State now stands at 128, the Drug Enforcement Administration said Wednesday.
In some cases, the people were given citations for possessing a small amount of marijuana rather than being booked into jail and were not included in the original count of 96 released Tuesday, officials said. Of the 96, 75 were students; officials were unsure how many of the additional people arrested are students.
The investigation, dubbed Operation Sudden Fall, involves the sale and possession of marijuana, cocaine, Ecstasy, methamphetamine and other drugs. Six fraternities have been suspended pending an investigation into the involvement of fraternity members.
