Audit proposal seems reasonable
Re “Chick battles Delgadillo over right to review performance,” Nov. 21
In the interest of government transparency, Los Angeles Controller Laura Chick’s proposal to audit programs of elected officials seems reasonable to me, even if it includes programs of City Council members.
The council, by suggesting to pass the issue on to the voters in an expensive and unnecessary ballot measure, shows another example of elected officials unwilling to do what they are elected to do. I’m wondering who’s hiding what?
