vs. Colorado, 5 p.m., FSN Prime (tape-delayed at 9)

Site -- Home Depot Center.

Radio -- 1150, 1330 (Spanish).

Records -- Galaxy 7-12-8, Rapids 10-13-4.

Record vs. Rapids -- 1-1-0.

Update -- From here on out, all the Galaxy can do is win. If it loses or is tied today by Colorado, the season will essentially be over and Los Angeles will miss the playoffs for the third year in a row. A victory would keep the Rapids in the running for a playoff place. Colorado started the Galaxy’s season off on the wrong foot by scoring a 4-0 win in Commerce City, Colo., in the season opener in March. The Galaxy managed to notch a 3-2 victory when the teams met again in Carson in June. Galaxy starting goalkeeper Steve Cronin resumed training last week, but Josh Saunders, one of two backups along with Josh Wicks, is likely to start tonight. David Beckham and Landon Donovan will miss the game. They are with the England and the U.S. national teams, respectively, for World Cup qualifying games in Belarus and Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday. The Galaxy is 0-2-1 in the three games Beckham has missed this season
