at No. 10 Georgia 26, Tennessee 14: Matthew Stafford passed for a career-best 310 yards, Knowshon Moreno ran for 101 yards and the Bulldogs (5-1, 2-1) beat the Volunteers (2-4, 0-3) at Athens. Tennessee is 0-3 in the SEC for the first time in 20 years. The Volunteers netted only one yard on the ground but capitalized on two interceptions thrown by Stafford for their only touchdowns. Georgia freshman kicker Blair Walsh had four field goals. His final one came after a 17-play drive consumed 10:55 in the final quarter.

at Mississippi State 17, No. 13 Vanderbilt 14: Anthony Dixon rushed for 107 yards, De’Mon Glanton set up the clinching touchdown with an interception and the Bulldogs (2-4, 1-2) upset the Commodores (5-1, 3-1) at Starkville to prevent them from going 6-0 for the first time since 1928. Mississippi State held Vanderbilt to 107 yards. It was the fourth time in Coach Sylvester Croom’s five seasons that his team beat a ranked opponent.

Arkansas 25, at No. 20 Auburn 22: Michael Smith rushed for 176 yards and scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 63-yard run in the fourth quarter, and the Razorbacks (3-3, 1-2) mounted two late defensive stands to beat the Tigers (4-3, 2-3) at Auburn, Ala. Arkansas forced Auburn’s Kodi Burns into three consecutive incompletions from its five-yard line to halt one drive. Then Matt Harris made a diving interception with 29 seconds left.

South Carolina 24, at Kentucky 17: Captain Munnerlyn returned a blocked field-goal attempt 81 yards for a touchdown and set up another score with an 84-yard kickoff return as the Gamecocks (5-2, 2-2) beat the Wildcats (4-2, 0-2) at Lexington, improving Steve Spurrier’s record to 16-0 against Kentucky. South Carolina won its ninth consecutive game over Kentucky.
