‘It’s Always Sunny’ rises; stars shine in ‘Faerie’ tales

You should be talking about: The return of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” Bel Biv DeVoe’s “Poison.” Berlin’s “Take My Breath Away.” One dance-off to rule them all. And you missed it during last season’s finale. “Sunny” is the FX comedy that has never gotten the hype it deserves, and this is your warning: Season 4 starts this week. (Thursday)

Some have been waiting years to talk about: “Shelley Duvall’s Faerie Tale Theatre”? Tim Burton. Francis Ford Coppola. Mick Jagger. James Earl Jones. Helen Mirren. Duvall had more pull than even Oprah, assembling stars in front of and behind the camera to collaborate on this live-action series of fairy tales for children. Now, all 26 episodes of the ‘80s collection are finally -- finally! -- on DVD. (Available now)

Start talking now about: “Ghost Town.” Ricky Gervais plays a man who dies and is revived seven minutes later with the ability to see ghosts who need his help. Best not to expect “The Office”; Gervais had no hand in writing this movie. But there’s also no reason not to trust his taste (or believe this will be another “The Rocker”). (Friday)

Forget “90210.” We’re talking about: “The Breakfast Club: Flashback Edition.” After watching the premiere of the CW’s “90210” reboot, revisiting the Brat Pack helped. Because they did teen angst better, funnier and without pesky parents. (Tuesday)

Don’t let “The Other Boleyn Girl” movie stop you from picking up: Philippa Gregory’s book “The Other Queen.” The “Boleyn” film left out all the trashy, romance-novel goodness that makes Gregory the Cecily von Ziegesar of historical fiction. Her latest tells the untold story of Mary, Queen of Scots: the captive years. (Tuesday)
