at Philadelphia 7-6, Milwaukee 3-1: Brett Myers (10-11) pitched a two-hitter in the second game, and the Phillies moved to within one game of first-place New York in the NL East. Shane Victorino was four for four and Pat Burrell hit a home run. In the first game, Ryan Howard and Victorino each hit a home run.
Atlanta 7, at New York 4: Fill-in closer Luis Ayala (2-9) gave up a go-ahead home run to pinch-hitter Greg Norton and the Braves rallied for five runs in the ninth inning.
at Florida 8, Washington 7: Josh Willingham drove in the go-ahead run to help lead the Marlins, who scored seven runs in the eighth inning to go ahead, 8-6.
Cincinnati 2, at Arizona 1 (10 innings): Corey Patterson hit a home run off the right-field foul pole to lift the Reds.
at Pittsburgh 7, St. Louis 2: Adam LaRoche drove in three runs with two hits as the Pirates swept the Cards.
San Francisco 8, at San Diego 6 (10 innings): Rookie Pablo Sandoval scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch in the 10th inning.
Chicago 5, Houston 0 (at Milwaukee): Carlos Zambrano pitched the first no-hitter by a Cub in 36 years.
at Colorado 1, Dodgers 0 (10 innings): Troy Tulowitzki’s bases-loaded single won the game.
