An attorney who allegedly agreed to accept $107,000 in exchange for coaching his client to lie to a federal prosecutor and a federal grand jury was arrested Tuesday in Century City, authorities said.

Alfred Nash Villalobos, 44, was charged with obstruction of a grand jury proceeding and arrested after he accepted more than $50,000 in cash as the first half of his payment in the scheme, according to the U.S. attorney’s office.

Villalobos’ client was preparing for a case involving alleged immigration fraud.

According to the federal prosecutor, Villalobos told another attorney that his client would lie about his involvement and knowledge of the case in exchange for the money.
