at Seattle 10, New York 3: Jose Lopez had three RBIs and the Mariners ended the Yankees’ five-game win streak. Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter broke Luis Aparicio’s record for most hits as a shortstop with his 2,674th, a run-scoring double in the third inning.
Cleveland 7, at Minnesota 4: Kelly Shoppach and Luis Valbuena homered, and Grady Sizemore added a two-run shot in a six-run third inning.
at Tampa Bay 5, Toronto 2: Gregg Zaun had a pinch-hit grand slam in the eighth inning for the Rays.
Kansas City 3, at Detroit 2 (10 innings): Josh Anderson scored the go-ahead run on third baseman Ryan Raburn’s third error of the game.
at Angels 17, Baltimore 8 (13 innings): Angels win with a nine-run 13th.
