Update: The Sparks and the Dream currently have the league's longest winning streaks. The Sparks have won four consecutive games and are 7-3 in August, and Atlanta has a three-game winning streak and claimed seven of its last eight games. The Dream is 10-4 at home, 5-1 against teams in the Western Conference, and boasts the league's second-best offense (83.52 points per game). The Sparks are the league's best defensive team (71.52 points per game) and second in blocked shots (5.67 per game). With nine games remaining in the season, the Sparks have the lead over the Minnesota Lynx (one game) and San Antonio Silver Stars (1 1/2 games) for the Western Conference's third playoff spot.
