13 Days of Grinchmas at Universal Studios Hollywood

Universal Studios Hollywood has enlisted L.A. County Sheriff Lee Baca to help kick off its 13 Days of Grinchmas attraction by arresting the Grinch at a media event this morning for “crimes against Who-manity.”

The character won’t be taken into custody, however, because he’ll still be around to have his photo taken with visitors to the theme park from Saturday through Dec. 31, in an area that has been dubbed Grinchmas Winter Wonderland and features snow, a 60-foot Christmas tree and sets used in the film version of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”

There also will be daily readings of the Dr. Seuss classic by such TV performers as Dule Hill and Corbin Bernsen of “Psych,” Nancy Cartwright of “The Simpsons” and Shenae Grimes of “90210,” and Los Angeles radio personalities such as Laura Schlessinger of KFWB-AM, Mark Wallengren and Kristen Cruz of KOST-FM, Tonya Campos of KKGO-FM, Yesi Ortiz of KPWR-FM, Talaya Trigueros of KTWV-FM and Jack Popejoy, Vicky Moore and Dick Helton of KNX-AM.
